New Library Copy Service

We are pleased to announce that library copy service will be provided by Konica Minolta beginning late January, 2007. New Konica Minolta copiers and microform reader/printers are scheduled for delivery and implementation mid-January.

Effective immediately, please do not add excessive value to your current Continental Copy cards.

The copy cards currently provided by Continental will NOT be usable with the new equipment, i.e. they cannot be re-valued in card vend machines and cannot be used to pay for copies on the Konica Minolta copiers. More details will follow on accommodations for the unused value on the currently held cards.

Polling the Nations Trial

CUNY has a trial through January 31 to Polling the Nations, a survey of international public opinion on over 6,000 topics from over 1,400 sources from 1986 to the present. If you have comments about your use of the trial please express them to the library reference staff.

Revised CUNY-wide Circulation Policies

The CUNY Council of Chief Librarians enforced a change in loan periods for doctoral and graduate students system-wide. All doctoral and graduate students will receive a standard 3-week loan for circulating books from all CUNY libraries, the same as undergraduates. The number of renewals permitted is determined by each CUNY library. To offset the loss of the 6-week loan for doctoral students, the Graduate Center library will offer unlimited renewals to this standard 3-week loan for Graduate Center books. Grad students are offered 6 renewals on the standard 3-week loan and Grad Center faculty are offered unlimited renewals on 6-week loans.  See CUNY-Wide Circulation Policies and Graduate Center Library Privileges.
