The Graduate Center has a trial through November 30 to Humanities International Complete, offering the full text of 670 humanities journals. Included is all of The Paris Review from 1953 to the present. This journal is not available electronically from any other source.
New Electronic Reserves Location
September 28, 2007The URL of our electronic reserves service, ERes, has changed. It has moved from http://mina.gc.cuny.edu:81/ to http://eres.gc.cuny.edu/. Please update your bookmarks. You will still use the same password information to access the system. Off-campus users who may have experienced problems accessing the site due to firewall issues should no longer be blocked from accessing ERes. Please contact the systems librarian, Kevin Reiss, at kreiss@gc.cuny.edu if you have problems accessing the ERes website.

- Assists Dissertation Assistant with packing and shipping printed copies of dissertations and distribution of bound copies.
- Assists Circulation manager with CLICS & copier service
- Assists Chief Librarian and Systems Librarian with special projects as needed including web page updates, collection management and records maintenance
- General office work including filing, sorting and photocopying
REQUIREMENTS: Proficiency with Microsoft Office software; flexibility in terms of work assignments; ability to follow directions and procedures and to work independently; attention to detail.
HOURS: Up to 20 hours/week M-F during regular business hours (9-5). Morning schedule preferred

September 26, 2007CUNY has a trial through October 31 to Oxford Language Dictionaries Online. Drawn from Oxford University Press’s bilingual dictionaries, the database offers millions of words, phrases, and translations in French, German, Italian, and Spanish.

Scopus is a dynamic abstract and citation database that indexes 15,000 international peer-reviewed journals in the social sciences, sciences, and medicine from 1996 to the present. Avery and BHA
September 17, 2007As of September 17, the Graduate Center subscribes to Avery Index and Bibliography of the History of Art. The Avery Index includes 589,000 citations from 2,800 international journals from 1741 to the present. Topics covered include architecture, archaeology, historic preservation, interior design, urban design, and urban planning. BHA includes over 650,000 bibiographic records from over 4,800 journals and other publications from 1973 to the present. Subjects indexed include the art of Europe and the Americas from the fourth century to the present, painting, sculpture, drawings, prints, decorative and applied arts, popular and folk art, architecture and industrial design, and film.
