The PubMed database is now integrated with  , our citation-linking service. If you link into PubMed from our library website, the Find it! button will show up on every citation within your search results. The database is available from our A-Z Database list and on our science-and-health-focused subject guides.

Global warming, energy conservation, natural resources, and pollution are among the issues addressed by this database. Though the database is primarily bibliographic, it will include, during the summer of 2008, full text from all issues of Bioscience, Conservation Biology, Journal of Ecology, and Journal of Environmental Planning & Management. Links to these journals will be available soon in the library’s list of journals available electronically.


Expanded Web of Science Subscription

The Mina Rees Library is pleased to announce that we now have a full subscription to the ISI Web of Science database. Previously we had only subscribed to the Social Sciences Citation Index portion of the database. Now we have a full subscription that includes the Arts and Humanities Citation Index and the Science Citation Index. Please contact your department’s library liaison if you have a question about using Web of Science. Also look for an upcoming training session we will host near the start of the Spring Semester to introduce the database to the GC Community.


Scopus Database Trial

The Graduate Center has a trial through October 31 to Scopus. This abstract and citation database indexes 15,000 international peer-reviewed journals in the social sciences, sciences, and medicine from 1996 to the present. A more detailed description is available.
