Library Web Services Down 9/28 A.M.

Mina Rees Library web services will be down on Friday, September 28th from 8:00 - 9:00 to allow for a server upgrade. Services that will be out are:

• Library Website
• Library Databases
• Remote Access to Library Databases (EZProxy)
• Interlibrary Loan
• Electronic Reserves

New Copy Card Refund Opportunity!

In response to student requests, refunds for unused value on Continental Copy cards will again be available the week after spring break, April 10 – April 16^th.

To request a refund, patrons must complete a Continental Copy refund request form at the Circulation Desk and have it signed by one of the supervisors listed on the form. Forms will be available at the Circulation Desk starting tomorrow, Friday, March 30^th.

If you previously submitted a form and old copy card, but were not able to go to the Bursar’s Office to obtain your refund before the old deadline, please speak to a supervisor at the Circulation Desk. Your cards and forms remain available for the refund.

Cash refunds will be distributed at the Bursar’s Office from April 10^th – April 16^th during their regular Bursar Office business hours.

This is your last chance! No refunds will be distributed after 5 pm on Monday, April 16^th.

New Copy Service

The new library copy service – provided by Konica-Minolta – is up and running. The card vending machines are located on the 1^st and 2^nd floors of the library. There are 4 copiers on the first floor and 4 on the second floor. Two new Konica-Minolta microfilm/microfiche reader/printers are also located on the second floor, one on each side of the library next to our microfilm and microfiche collections. Please see the library reference or circulation staff if you have questions about how to use the new machines. We are pleased to offer this new service that promises greater reliability and functionality than the previous copy service.

Copy cards for the new system can be purchased for $1; value can be added after the card purchase. Copies cost $.10/copy.

Existing Copy Card Policy

Existing Copy cards for the old Continental Copy service will not work with the new machines. Refunds will be given to Continental Copy card holders:

1. after the old copiers are all removed or are no longer in operational
2. if the card value can be verified by Circulation staff, and
3. only until 5 pm, February 28, 2007.

To request a refund, patrons must complete a Continental Copy refund request form at the Circulation Desk, have it signed by one of the supervisors listed on the form. Cash refunds will be provided at the Bursar’s Office upon presentation of a signed Continental copy refund request form.

No refunds will be distributed after 5 pm February 28, 2007.

New Library Copy Service

We are pleased to announce that library copy service will be provided by Konica Minolta beginning late January, 2007. New Konica Minolta copiers and microform reader/printers are scheduled for delivery and implementation mid-January.

Effective immediately, please do not add excessive value to your current Continental Copy cards.

The copy cards currently provided by Continental will NOT be usable with the new equipment, i.e. they cannot be re-valued in card vend machines and cannot be used to pay for copies on the Konica Minolta copiers. More details will follow on accommodations for the unused value on the currently held cards.
